Hey ITPE! It's happening!

If you want to know a little more about me, you can find me tumbling at empire-kids.tumblr.com, and tweeting mostly about kpop at poppyseedfic. First off, I want to note that I tend to be a pretty adventurous reader/listener. If there's a fic you love in one of my fandoms that doesn't hit any of my deal-breakers, then please do go for it! I'm just here to have a good time, yknow?

If you want to podfic anything I've written, I'm totally okay with that - it would be an honor! I'm poppyseedheart on ao3. I would also love anything from my bookmarks, and re-pods are a-okay in my book :)

Likes/enjoys:

• Character study & ambitious character work - is the author doing something really interesting with this character? Is it a side of them we don't always get to see in canon? Are they a little mean sometimes? A little realer, more human? Sign me the hell up.
• Original world-building - fic authors inventing worlds is incredible and I love seeing what people come up with!
• Angst!! With a happy ending, usually, but if it's really good I'll read stuff with sad endings too. Love an open ending. Break my heart a little, is what I'm saying. If it gets put back together after, all the better.
• With angst, I'm okay with themes of suicide/mental illness (but see dealbreakers), but I'd rather see those stories have a happy ending.
• Bodyguard aus (my fave underappreciated trope)
• Prose that makes you stop and go Oh Wow
• Experimental styles
• Action! Adventure! A plot that gets your blood pumping!
• Conversely: quiet fics about the day to day that ache
• Canon divergence
• Fake dating
• Dreamsharing
• Magical realism (the fic definition and the actual definition both)
• When you can tell the author has a specific love of something or knowledge about a topic! Love to learn from fic!
• Good gen fic [praise hands emoji]

Dealbreakers:

• Eating disorders
• Non-con
• Incest
• Bestiality
• Cheating/infidelity
• Underage

Just not that excited about:

• Soulmate AUs
• PWP (but explicit fic is fine! just prefer it to not be the main part of the fic)
• A/B/O
• Pure fluff/domestic fic

  • BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) - every single pairing under the sun! Jimin is my favorite boy but I love them all and would be overjoyed by anything from this fandom
  • GFRIEND - SinB/Yerin especially, but I'd take anything!

  • NCT 127 - really just Johnny/Mark. There's very little fic for them but if something pops up and you feel inspired I'd be elated
