November So Far

 So far this month I have: taken and passed my comprehensive exit exam for my master's program, written over 10k words (and counting!) of an original novel, seen Ateez, and lived my life in the other ways I usually do.

This is just a short post to take a breath and say, wow! What a long ten days. The exam was very long and exhausting and I am very glad to be done with it. The words have been coming... slowly.... I'm very tired and worried about my ability to complete nano but there is a lot of month left and I'm not really built for giving up on stuff lol. So I'll keep doing my best and we'll see how it all shakes out. I DO really want to dedicate more time/space for fic, especially Emma AU which I'm like desperate to finish and revise and post soon, but I'm not sure if that'll happen during nano or if I'll try to become the terminator during December.

Ateez, though! Wow! Wooyoung is my bias now because I enjoyed his vibe so much. I identified him as a friend from the start (maybe I'll do a post soon about how I rank members when I first get into a new group) and his majorly Jimin vibes, mostly his coyness, have catapulted him up my list and into the bias position. Good for him! Well deserved! I do continue to not really feel much about Ateez ships or fannish things in general, despite having had a great time at the show. I've enjoyed reading sharpa's space pirates fic (highly rec, especially if you're into action/adventure as a genre it's so good!!) and have seen some random variety and interview things, but I'm not clicking the way I'd like to. Soon, maybe, and if not then that's okay too.

That's all. Little update for ya! Aside from all this I've been really wanting to make more rec lists because I so enjoy them!! Are there are any ships/genres/kinds of fic you want more of, especially for skz? Lmk as I start pulling things together.

congrats on so many things and may the rest of the month bring you joy! love your rec lists and can't wait to dive into the new one later. if you're talking about recs, I'm always looking for stuff that plays with format or medium, or has trans characters! oh actually typing this comment made me realize (might ask twt for this later) I've been wanting to read about creative partnerships recently, fic or not. if you have anything up that alley would love that!

thank you!! i def have very multifannish thoughts about playing with format/medium (we bring a lot of fics that do that onto fic clique) and hmmmm creative partnership is a really fun prompt! my first thought was the lady's guide to celestial mechanics which i read recently by olivia waite, it's not exaaactly that but i loved the way both mains learned about and respected each other's art and kind of brought pieces of each other's disciplines into their own

Oooh as someone who is dipping her toe back into kpop fic, I'd love a reclist that is like, if you had to convince someone of a pairing which fic would you pick for which pairing. (If that makes sense)
