hard agree! i miss a lot of the "classic" tropes that i feel like fandom just doesn't do with the same frequency anymore... i saw something recently about how omegaverse has subsumed a bunch of other tropes (bdsm au, sex pollen au, mpreg, etc) and while those weren't my go-tos anyway it still makes me sad. old man yelling at cloud voice we used to be a society.
